LUTE Technologies Open Supply Chain System Automatically Adapts for AA.

Right in time for the implementation of American Airlines (AA) Booking Source Premiums to recover supra-competitive booking fees in certain GDSs, LUTE Technologies AG confirms that its platform will enable all travel agencies who wish to maintain the same level of access to AA to do so without surcharge via the LUTE infrastructure for both B2C and B2B customers. The LUTE Technologies platform including LUTE CommandPROsm,, SPRK and LUTE XML, allows flight bookings in various customer point of sale systems.

LUTE Technologies recently announced its deployment of YuFares extreme search for online and conventional travel agencies. It is currently deployed on many OTA websites in Germany. YuFares provides a far reaching Fare Search capability that exploits the full data set of ATPCO, and Private Fares not just those determined by the GDS. The addition of Split Ticketing functionality enables Customers’ to see many more options for fares than are conventionally available via traditional search mechanisms.

The travel agent uses his preferred method of access entries while the system connects to the AA host and returns outputs again in the originating format. Not only flight bookings but also rebookings and cancellations are supported. Full Mid and Back office functionality is also provided via BSPs in multiple markets as approved by IATA. LUTE supports a variety of different forms of ticketing as agreed between the agent and the airline.

LUTE has been available to customers since February 2009. It is now available for travel agencies worldwide with BSP ticketing in more than 11 markets in a wide variety of formats with special support for the directly connected airlines such as Emirates, Lufthansa, United Airlines, (including both UA and CO brands) and others including recent addition US Airways. American Airlines as other airlines can be provided on a standalone or multi-carrier basis.

There will be no cost for an additional connection to AA via LUTE nor will there be any time effort for additional training. Additional connections to a broader range of full service and low cost carriers will be implemented the same way in the future so the availability of the Preferred Rates is secured for the future.
